  3. Screen time was substituting for real life. As I understand it most humans have an innate desire to control their life, to socialize, to master something and to do stuff. Gaming and screen time are very good at making you feel like you have done those things which you have in this virtual world. But meanwhile your real life did not move a bit. So now if you want to achieve something in the physical life you’ll need to use willpower because the dopamine is all used up on the screen.
